Kiara's Plastic Free Journey

Running a medspa put me in the health and wellness space every day — and it gave me a different lens on what actually goes into (and onto) our bodies. I wanted to look healthy on the inside, not just the outside. Having kids, and getting a little older myself, made me want to be around for them, and more intentional about what our family was really consuming.

That mindset sent me through my own kitchen, clearing out plastic wherever I found it. When I looked at what I used most, it was my coffee maker — a cheap drip machine with plastic running through the entire brewing process, hot water and all. I went down the rabbit hole on "plastic-free" coffee makers and found that most brands claiming it weren't telling the whole story. I did find one that was genuinely plastic-free — but it cost a fortune. That gap is what started this: building an affordable, plastic-free drip coffee maker that still looks and feels like the coffee maker you already know.
