Questions, answered

Is Foxy really plastic-free?

Where it counts, yes. Every part your water and coffee touch is stainless steel, borosilicate glass or medical-grade silicone. The outer housing uses some BPA-free plastic, and it never touches your water or coffee. The full parts list is on this page, so you can check for yourself (we knew you would).

Is silicone a plastic?

No. Medical-grade silicone is made from silica, not petroleum, and it stays stable at brewing temperatures. Foxy uses it only for seals and connectors, where a flexible, food-safe material is needed.

When will my pre-order ship?

Pre-orders are estimated to ship by March 1, in the order they were placed. If that date moves, we'll email you.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

Yes. Email us any time before your order ships and we'll refund you in full.

How much coffee does it make?

Up to 8 cups (40 oz), using the standard 5-oz coffee cup.

What filters does it use?

Standard #4 cone paper filters, the kind sold at most grocery stores.

Is it hard to clean?

No. The carafe, filter basket and showerhead come off for washing. Like any drip coffee maker, it needs descaling every few months.

What's the warranty?

1 year, no subscription or sign-up needed. You also have 30 days to return it, even if you've used it.

How is Foxy different from other plastic-free coffee makers?

Mostly the price. Foxy keeps plastic out of the brew path for $199 on pre-order. See the side-by-side comparison on this page.
